Swim Team

The Virginia Vale Swim Team is one of the most successful in the state by almost any measure. The team has won the Colorado Summer State Championship for 9 years in a row with countless club, league and state individual and relay records set (and broken) each year.

The best measures of success are seen each summer day as big kids cheer on little kids, and the little kids dream of growing up to be just like the big kids. The VV Dolphins are second to none!

2018 registration will open on May 1. Registration must be completed and payment submitted online prior to any child getting into the pool for practice or participating in any other team activity.  Only VV members in good standing may participate on the VV swim team. No exceptions.

Suits (as well as hoodies & sweat pants) are available through Swim ‘n Things. Ordering information will be announced this spring.

Swim ‘n Things is located at 5494 E Evans Ave.

Summer Club Rules

The age a swimmer is on May 15 determines their age group for the entire summer.

Swimmers may NOT practice or compete with any other team on or after May 15, in order to be eligible for the State Summer Club Swim Meet. This includes not swimming unattached in a USA swim meet. A swimmer may compete in a charity-type event with permission of the Colorado State Summer Club Swimming Association Board.

Parent Volunteers

Parent volunteers are essential to the success of the VV swim team, especially home meets. All parents should plan to volunteer a minimum of 1-2 shifts per swimmer each summer. Volunteer needs include timers, hospitality, runners, event numbers, and ribbons. In addition, volunteers are needed for social events and photos. Watch for a sign up in May.
